A few little answers.
Will it work on my Mac?+
SmartDock runs on macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. This beta supports Apple Music.
How do I install it?+
Open the downloaded disk image, drag SmartDock into Applications, then open it from Applications and follow the permission guide.
Why does it need permissions?+
Accessibility keeps the artwork aligned with Music’s Dock icon. Apple Music control reads your song and sends playback commands. You can revoke either permission in System Settings.
What happens when Music is paused or closed?+
Pausing softly blurs the artwork and keeps the player available. Closing Music restores its original icon.
Can I turn off opening at login?+
Yes. Open at login is enabled on first launch, and you can turn it off in SmartDock’s settings.
How do updates work?+
Choose “Check for Updates…” from the menu bar. You can review and install available updates; they are not installed silently.
